Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan

We left Grand Marais, Michigan this morning and drove through Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore to our destination Miners Castle Overlook.  We hiked to the main overlook which is an easy paved hike that has a great view of Lake Superior and the rock formation called Miners Castle.  We decided to take the second trail which was more strenuous but still easy for a closer look.  Lake Superior has beautiful clear blue water.  From there we traveled through the rain along highway 28 into Munising were we stopped for lunch at Muldoons Pasty shop.  A Pasty (pronounced like Past Tee)is like a pot pie with meat, potatoes, and carrots without the gravy.  It was good, a little dry so I wish we would have gotten the gravy to dip it in.  We slowly continued on highway 28/41 to our boondocking location, a municipal marina in Baraga overlooking the Keweenaw Bay of Lake Superior.
